A writer should draw the line when reality meets Science fiction. Anything that seems to good to be true, should be written in such great detail that the reader is convinced it must of happened simply due to the fact that the detail isn't vague. And Tobias lied on some points, but it made the story more interesting.

Clarissa’s time period is semi acceptable to lesbianism.
Laura’s time period is like a shadow where being lesbian is ‘unheard’ of
Virginia Wolf
they all suffer from depression,
all confused and feel left out. story reflects all of them
laura-LA fears that she won’t be a good mother and is contemplating suicide
clarissa new york- once had a lover, and now is lesbian
virginia wolf- is realizing that she lesbian.
2. Compare/Contrast these female characters with the female characters from the
literature weʼve read.
Comparism:
Most women are seen as emotionally weak, and some of them live life as if they made a crappy decision. None of the women die, for they press on and live with depression.
Contrast:
Not all women contemplate suicide
