Cinco De Mayo!!!!!

A writer should draw the line when reality meets Science fiction. Anything that seems to good to be true, should be written in such great detail that the reader is convinced it must of happened simply due to the fact that the detail isn't vague. And Tobias lied on some points, but it made the story more interesting.

Jeffrey's Tough Decision

I made a decision that I do not regret and it went against everything my parents hated. I took a road trip with my uncle to L.A. to visit some family. My parents didn't want me to hang out with my uncle for they believed he was a bad influence, but I went either way and felt good about it. I really didn't care what my parents thought, I was living my life and for that I am satisfied.

Norman Mailer's View of Women Writers

Look up the words you don't know. What is his view? What are his prejudices and stereotypes? Do you agree with any of his ideas? What ideas do you disagree with?

-His view is hatred toward women writers. Says that a good women writer will be one who tells the tale of a call girl. He believes a women is a whore and is nothing but a supplement to a "man's needs" I don't agree with his ideas, but he does make a statement. All girls aren't whores, but some are and he focuses mainly on them. I disagree with the fact he can't finish a women's writing, he just has hatred.

How do they differ? How does their era influence who they are?

Clarissa’s time period is semi acceptable to lesbianism.

Laura’s time period is like a shadow where being lesbian is ‘unheard’ of

Virginia Wolf

clarissa new york- once had a lover, and now is lesbian

virginia wolf- is realizing that she lesbian.

2. Compare/Contrast these female characters with the female characters from the

literature weʼve read.
